New Video: "MAC Sketchbook Sessions" - 02

Hey Guys,

I just posted an all new video which is the SECOND of my How To Draw In Your Sketchbook that I'm calling the "MAC Sketchbook Sessions" for the Animation and Entertainment Industry. It's an over the shoulder view of my flipping through my second of many personal sketchbooks and giving commentary. I hope it's enjoyable.

All my best,

MAC

I just spent the last hour or so watching all your movies on Youtube (thanks to "The Art Center"). I find your work very inspiring. Thanks for posting it.

Regarding the white you use on your toned paper, what do you use? I know for some of your pics you use a white Prismacolor Colored-pencil, but it doesn't look like colored pencil on the toned paper.
Thanks
Mike

I just read your post on figure drawing at The Art Center blog and I love what you said about doing the face last. I NEVER thought about doing that in the way you described, like using it as an exclamation point on the pose. Very cool! I love your blog/drawings/videos too. Thanks for all the helpful info!

Thanks guys . . . a sketchbook is one of the most private of things an artist can share. I was heavily encouraged by the great Marcelo Vignali and his openness and encouragement and so I thought I would "Pay it forward."

Leandro,
Thank you for the kind comment . . . I'll keep 'em comin' if you keep a watchin'.

Mike,
Thank you for taking the time to view all the videos, it's been pretty fun to put them online for everyone. "The Art Center" has been a great way to give back and Randal was kind enough to let me be a part of the blog.

The white is actually PrismaColor White pencil. It could be deceiving but it's all the pencil just in different applications and in different thicknesses.

Louise,
It's true and I have been lucky to find that as a general truth for me when approaching both gesture drawing AND figure drawing. If you can capture the life and feeling of a character/person, the face and it's expressions are such a valuable asset to add at the end to give it a little punch! Thank you so much for the kind comment.

Best,

MAC

I'm really loving the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog audience have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any solutions to help fix this issue?

Here is my webpage bmi chart for women
