I'm back after a broken right clavicle, which happens to be my drawing arm. I've been slacking on this blogsite and would like to accomplish a goal.
This was something the very talented and kind artist, Cedric Hohnstadt started that I didn't have the time to follow through on....but I do now! So, a drawing a day for all of January as a reminder of why we do what we do... for FUN just as much as for a job:

Great artwork Mark. Hope to take your class again in the Spring. Your class really inspired me to draw more.
Thanks.

OK...Who broke your arm this time? Wasn't the ghost of Mickey again was it?
Thanks guys.
Mark 1ish,
I took it for the team! My GodSon was falling and I reached out to save him and ended up overcorrecting and......SNAP-CRACKLE-POP.
Worth it. But....he might be making me eggs still when I'm in my 90's! Sheesh.

Hi Mark,
Your drawings a day project was really inspiring. I really admire your gesture drawings! I plan to take your gesture drawing class at AAI in the summer.
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I
find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
