New Video Posted - TONAL SKETCHING 02

Here's a new video that is the second in a series on the topic of TONAL SKETCHING for Costumed Gesture Drawing purposes. This time due to the overwhelming feedback from my fellow artists and fans, I have created an audio track explaining my process. Thanks for the feedback guys and let me know what you think when you get the chance.

Best to everyone,

MAC

Hiya Mac, great stuff again! What pencil is that you're using there?

Mark McDonnell said...

Thanks guys much appreciated. If you like 'em, I'll keep making them. There's more on the way, coming soon I promise.

Andy,
The pencil I use quite consistently is a Sandford EBONY - Jet black (Extra Smooth) pencil. It's fantastic for soft tones, fine lines and extra dark blacks all in the same pencil.

Best,

MAC

These videos are great!! I would love, love, love to see another video. It's really helpful to look over someones shoulder and watch them draw while they explain the theory behind their practices. It enforces things the viewer already knew but wasn't too sure about, or teaches something completely new!

I hope you make more videos. I think I speak for everyone when I say "Go for it!"

Awesome stuff Mark !

I'd love to see a vid on how you'd go about designing a character. From research and how to you use reference to the final sketches etc. Thanks !

Best,
Brendan

Because of time set-up of the character at first I see a monocle there, but no, its just an ilusion.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback and am trying hard to get more up and on the web for everyone. I'm a bit swamped at the moment but I do have 2 that are being edited by my buddy Carl (a.k.a. - KidFrodo) so there will be more soon, I promise.

I will try to put together another video on Char. Design as well, that will be a bit later in the process but I'll do my best to make it Brendan.

Best,

MAC

awesome stuff Mark - love the videos and would love to see more. Waiting for more books to come out too :D

P.S. - to anyone who wants to try out the EBONY pencils:
Ebony is great to use (I do all the time) but it's hard to find sometimes, when you do buy like couple of boxes lol (that's what I do anyway :D)

It is highly crucial that the loved one is given the chance to obtain the type of care and treatment they ought to have. (5) Check the location. A combination of factors, including the rise of feminism, rejected the crisp and, at times, impractical outfit. Experience in one or more of the following is a prerequisite for consideration: critical care, emergency medicine, cardiology, pulmonary, pediatric care and previous transport experience desired.
