Old Development: Mattel Development

Here's some very old development for a new younger character Mattel was working on creating for a new gaming/toy line. He was to be a 3D character that was animated in front of each segment and behind the wheel with a possible television show to follow. There was an older targeted character and they wanted a younger more hip character in his place.

MAC, I do know this Character! Actually I was working on him for a TV Show titled "Stunt Strikers". he looks pretty much like the design I did for the TV show. Have a look at our web www.studio-sidekick.com the illustration section is showing one illu I have done way back in 2007. It is funny to see him again. good job man!

No way! Impressive. Take a look at the image I added on the bottom. Was that your design? - If it was that's amazing. They came to to me and wanted me to Disn-ify it and create a younger softer version for a younger target audience. It's funny I always was interested in knowing who designed the adult version. . . what a small world. SEE, I told you we'd work together some day!

All my best,

MAC

Exactly MAC, this was one of my first rough head designs I did! Funny story! Unfortunately the series never made it into production. There were a bunch of other characters. However, a few years later we ended up creating Battle Force 5, which followed more or less a similar story line. So, man, we already worked on two projects somehow together. I do hope it will come up more in the future. Hug, Tor
